Uli Kai is located in a warm, tropical, rural coastal environment on the east side of Hawaiʻi Island. Homes in this region naturally experience moisture, occasional insects, and seasonal weather conditions. The house is equipped with ceiling fans and screened windows for airflow, but guests who require air conditioning or very dry air may prefer accommodations with AC.
The home is on a solar-powered system without backup batteries, so larger appliances (laundry, dishwasher, etc.) should be used during daytime hours. Water is supplied by a filtered well system and plumbing is sensitive — please avoid flushing anything other than toilet paper. The pool and spa are provided for guest enjoyment and must be used responsibly; children must be supervised at all times.

Rates & Availability
Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 90 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Eighty percent (80.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 15 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 15 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
